A typical week

• Building ingestion from operational databases, APIs and event streams
• Modelling transformations into layers that analysts and models can rely on
• Orchestrating and monitoring scheduled work, including backfill and replay
• Adding data quality tests and lineage so breakage is caught before users see it
• Tuning cluster, storage and query cost as volumes grow

What we screen for

How we assess this role before anyone reaches your shortlist.

• Do they model data deliberately, or just move it from one place to another
• How do they handle late, duplicate and malformed records
• Can they make a pipeline idempotent and safely re-runnable
• Do they understand cost implications of partitioning, file layout and cluster sizing
• Have they migrated a legacy warehouse while it was still in use
